- Consider strengthening design
- Lighten up your painting by lifting the opaque paint and repaint in a lighter colour.
- Understanding the difference between opaque and semi-transparent . Paints such as burnt sienna, burnt umber are sedimentary so lift off fairly easily
- Look for variety in shapes , including large, medium, and small shapes
- Extend the subject matter beyond the edges of the painting.
- Experiment with repetition, negative painting, texture-splatter, dry brush, and stamping to break up the space in the backgroundor or foreground
- Enrich your painting by layering similar transparent colours .
- Darken some areas next to the lightest ones to create depth.
- Using gouache, Use crayons , pencils
- Create a focal point to draw the viewer’s attention.
